Beth Orton announces new album 'The Ground Above'

After decades of quiet reinvention, Beth Orton returns with news of her new album 'The Ground Above', arriving on the 26th June via Partisan Records, alongside the release of its lead single 'Waiting'.

A slow-burning, piano-led track, 'Waiting' unfolds with warmth and restraint, carrying echoes of classic songwriting traditions while staying rooted in Orton’s unmistakable voice.

Following the acclaim of 2022’s 'Weather Alive', Beth Orton once again takes full control behind the desk, shaping the record herself with a close-knit group of collaborators including Nick Hakim and Shahzad Ismaily. The result promises a record that moves from fractured introspection into something more open and melodic.

1. The Ground Above
