With his eagerly-awaited new album just a few weeks away, Declan McKenna has now dropped the next cut to be lifted from his forthcoming full-length.
The new single 'Mulholland's Dinner And Wine' follows on from the previously shared tracks 'Elevator Hum', 'Sympathy' and 'Nothing Works' in previewing his third LP 'What Happened To The Beach?', which is out on the 9th February via Columbia Records.
Speaking about the new offering, he said, “Mulholland’s Dinner and Wine was written with Gianluca Buccellati as a kind of weird, warped story about a cartoon-y criminal duo, and the origins of the title come from an off-licence in the UK, but it became entangled with Mulholland drive in LA. The lyrics came from observations driving around the hills there and conversations at strange, hip parties.”
