DZ Deathdays drop their new single 'Golden Retriever'

With their highly-anticipated new album now less than a month away, DZ Deathrays have now dropped the next cut to be lifted from their forthcoming full-length.

The new single 'Golden Retriever' comes accompanied by a stunning new video, directed by Joe Agius (Hatchie/The Creases), and follows on from the previously shared tracks ‘Make Yourself Mad’, ‘Fear The Anchor ft. Ecca Vandal’, ‘All Or Nothing’ and ‘Fired Up’ in previewing their new LP 'Positive Rising: Part 2', which is out on the 9th July via Alcopop! Records.

Speaking about the new offering, drummer Simon Ridley said, “This song was a surprising last-minute addition to the album. I think Shane (Parsons) sent me the first demo just a week or two before we went into the studio to record. Everyone’s parts just fell into place really easily and so quickly. It was a pretty fun song to record too, and I think the title captures the vibe pretty well.”

While adding about the new video, “This film clip was definitely one of the most fun shoots we’ve done thanks to all the dogs who were there. I’m really going to miss having 6 super happy golden retrievers running around out the back of film clip shoots.”
