FIDLAR - 'Too'

6/10

After making a huge impact with their self-titled debut album back in 2013, the Californian skate-punks FIDLAR have returned with their grammatically incorrect second album 'Too'. And while their debut may have been more in line with a pop-punk style output, this new release has seen them grow up and evolve their sound into a more mature and adventurous direction.

Rather than simply thrash about on their instruments, FIDLAR seem more concerned about creating an enjoyable flow on this new record. While each track has its louder moments, the album itself has a lot more to offer in terms of riffs and ideas. Conceiving a very laid-back vibe throughout, 'Too' is an eclectic and glorious mess of a release that only a band like FIDLAR could have made.

With tons of charm and interesting moments, 'Too' may not have been the album that their fans would have expected, but certainly makes for an enjoyable listen and shows the band off in their best light.
