Fragile Animals have shared their new single ‘History’, marking the first preview of their upcoming EP 'Dead Stop', set for release later this year. The band have also confirmed a UK and European tour kicking off in June 2026.
On ‘History’, the Brisbane outfit dial up the intensity. Swirling guitars and dense, fuzzy textures sit alongside a driving rhythm section, while the vocals cut through with a sense of urgency that feels more direct than their previous work. It’s a track that leans further into grit without losing the atmospheric edge that defines their sound.
Thematically, ‘History’ takes a confrontational stance, rooted in frustrations around censorship and creative restriction. That tension carries through the track’s dynamic shifts, culminating in a closing section that feels deliberately hard-won.
'Dead Stop' was written in the months following the band’s breakout EP 'Tourist' and their first run of shows across the UK and Europe. Rather than revisiting that high, the new material reflects on what comes after — the emotional drop, the strain behind the scenes, and the decision to keep going regardless.
The release continues a steady upward trajectory for Fragile Animals, who have built momentum through international airplay, playlist support and a growing live presence, sharing stages with acts including Violent Soho, The Presets and DZ Deathrays.
With 'Dead Stop' on the horizon, the band will return to the UK and Europe this summer for a run of dates across June and July 2026, including festival appearances along the way.
