What was the first instrument you fell in love with?

Piano, I grew up playing piano and fell in love with the way it sounds, unfortunately I stopped taking lessons after I turned eight but piano is something I always refer back to when writing music.

What kind of music did you love as a teenager?

I definitely grew up in the Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez era, everything Disney Channel, I was obsessed with all the Disney artists but I also listened to Rihanna and Lady Gaga.

What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?

100% good days by SZA, she is a lyrical genius in that song, it’s incredible.

Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?

I watch so many live shows on YouTube, they inspire me a lot because it’s just the artist and the fans and everyone’s there for the music.

Who are your favorite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?

I’m always listening to so many types of music so it’s hard to say but, recently I’ve been listening to a lot of Mac DeMarco, Daniel Caeser, and Jorja Smith.

How many of your songs have you written about people in your life?

My single that just came out I actually wrote about myself but I do have unreleased music about some people in my life that may or may not be released in the future.

What has been the funniest or most unusual moment in your career so far?

Probably having my uncle as my manager, I think it’s so funny because he’s known me since I was born and sometimes when we actually have to work we can’t be serious, but he’s great and I wouldn’t have made it this far if it wasn’t for him.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

I’d want to open a show with an artist that has the craziest fans because when the audience is hype, everything’s better, probably Travis Scott I think that would be fun, and funny.

If you weren’t a musician, what other path do you think you might have taken?

It’s always good to have a back up plan incase things don’t go the way you want in life, I’ve looked into becoming a lawyer or selling Real Estate, I feel like that’s a career I would take.

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

My Mom always tells me that not everyone is going to like your art because not everyone has the same taste, but it’s important to keep doing what you’re proud of, because the people that encourage you and like what you do will always be there to support you.
