Following the roaring response to his much-loved debut album 'Infinite Chaos' in 2023, fast-rising artist Thurtythree is back on the grind once again with his soaring comeback single 'Control'.
Bringing back more of that bold and cacophonous alt-rock energy he is known for, 'Control' makes for a stunning return to form for him. With its raw and driven textures, electrifying atmosphere, and his own impactful vocals at the helm, he is certainly looking to get our fists pumping with this one.
So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and what has been inspiring him most lately.

What was the first instrument you fell in love with?
The first instrument I fell in love with was the guitar.
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?
I’ve always been a fan of rock music, the Rolling Stones were my first concert as an infant and kicking along to the drums might have had something to do with it.
What was the first album you remember owning?
The first album I bought and didn’t download or borrow was Minutes to Midnight by Linkin Park.
What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?
'All I want for Christmas is you' would’ve been a fun one, mostly cause it’s so good and comes back every year.
Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?
The main habit is having some time alone, usually it’s after staying up late and just reflecting about stories, life and other experiences.
Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?
The favourite artists at the moment on repeat are Normandie, bring me the horizon, rain city drive, nevertel, from ashes to new.
If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?
Would definitely be bring me the horizon or linkin park.
What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?
The moment of eureka of discovering something new with singing or being able to do something that couldn’t be done before, or just the energy from people enjoying the music there are so many rewarding aspects it’s hard to list just a few.
And what is the most frustrating part?
It can be sometimes having to record a song a few hundred times and not knowing when it will be ready, it’s beautiful as a process but can be frustrating not knowing when it will be done - I’m also just a bit impatient at times.
And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?
The best piece of advice would be that even though there’s one of everything in the world, there’s always someone willing to listen and to not be discouraged by the overwhelming nature of it all.
