GIRLBAND! share new single 'Thelma & Louise'

Nottingham alt-rockers GIRLBAND! have returned with their most hard-hitting release yet, 'Thelma & Louise', a thunderous anthem of freedom, friendship, and defiance. Driven by a gritty, muscular riff from frontwoman Georgie, the track captures the band at their most electrifying, following standout performances alongside the Sex Pistols and a second Glastonbury appearance.

“I wrote it while watching Thelma & Louise on the sofa,” Georgie says. “That feeling of escape, of hitting the road with people who get you — it sums up what GIRLBAND! is about: finding freedom with your crew.”

Coinciding with the single, GIRLBAND! are partnering with global gaming platform Avakin Life, also based in Nottingham, for an immersive virtual experience. As part of the in-game Solar Live Festival, the band will appear as avatars with a bespoke digital stage, photo booth, collectible items, and social zones, bringing their rebellious energy to the metaverse.
