Hot Chip announce "best of" album 'Joy In Repetition'

More than 20 years and eight studio albums in, Hot Chip continue to prove why they’re regarded as “the greatest British pop group of their generation” (The Guardian). The band announce 'Joy In Repetition', their first-ever Best Of compilation, set for release on the 5th September.

Charting the group’s evolution from DIY bedroom experiments to festival headliners and dancefloor icons, 'Joy In Repetition' showcases the sonic and emotional breadth that has defined Hot Chip’s remarkable run. The title, nodding both to their own iconic lyric (“Over and over and over…”) and Prince’s song 'Joy In Repetition', captures the band’s philosophy: a fascination with groove and the joyful act of creating music together again and again.

The compilation spans their beloved bangers — 'Ready For The Floor', 'I Feel Better', 'Flutes', 'Over and Over' — as well as their more introspective, tender moments on 'Boy From School', 'Look At Where We Are', and 'Melody of Love'. Also included is a brand-new track 'Devotion', a sun-drenched psych-pop jam celebrating the band’s unwavering commitment to each other and their craft.
