Jade Bird returns with new single 'Headstart'

Following on from the release of her hugely successful self-titled debut album last year, Jade Bird is back to unveil a brand new single.

The new track 'Headstart' is her first piece of new material since the 2019 full-length, and was written at the start of the year before the pandemic started.

Speaking about the new offering, Jade said, "Headstart came out of a trip I made to upstate New York at the beginning of the year. It’s quite a light-hearted song, about liking someone who just can’t see the signs, and releasing it feels like a way to give a bit of joy to the end of the year. It feels like community to me, and it makes me want to sing again."
