Mahalia delivers new single 'Different Type Of Love'

Mahalia unveils the latest chapter of her “Luvergirl” era with the release of her sultry new single 'Different Type Of Love', featuring Dancehall star Masicka. The track introduces a breezy, flirtatious energy to her catalogue, pairing a sparkling harp-like synth line with lyrics that dive into the allure of temptation.

“It’s not quite forbidden love,” Mahalia says. “But there’s still something sexy about knowing you shouldn’t pick up the phone.”

Channelling the timeless chemistry of Brandy and Monica while adding her own modern twist, Mahalia’s voice floats over the beat as she explores the thrill of chasing someone she knows isn’t right for her. Masicka’s slick guest verse injects the track with even more edge, bridging UK R&B and Dancehall in a way that feels effortless.

“I’ve been waiting for ‘Different Type Of Love’ to come out since it was made,” Mahalia shares. “It’s fun, sexy and the perfect luvergirl record. I’ve been a FAN of Masicka for a long time and I’m so, so excited that he’s on this!”
