Michael Kiwanuka unveils new single 'Hero'

With his eagerly-awaited new album set to drop early next month, Michael Kiwanuka has now unveiled the next cut to be taken from his forthcoming full-length.

Paying tribute to his personal heroes Fred Hampton, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, JFK, Sam Cooke, John Lennon, Marvin Gaye, Tupac and more, 'Hero' follows on from the previously shared track 'You Ain't The Problem' in previewing his third LP 'KIWANUKA', which is due to arrive on the 1st November via Polydor Records.

Speaking about his new offering, he added, "'Hero' is a song about how the gems of this world always seem to die young, and how those who are oppressed often seem to have the most to offer us."
