Patrick Wolf releases new EP 'Better Or Worse'

Following the acclaim of his album 'Crying The Neck', Patrick Wolf returns with the 'Better Or Worse' EP, out now via Apport / Virgin Music. The six-track release features reimaginings of the title-track alongside two new songs: 'Hymne D’Étranger' — his first in French — and 'She Didn’t Dance', a cover of a traditional Irish folk tune. Also included is 'Mejora O Empeorar', a Spanish-language version of 'Better Or Worse' inspired by a transformative trip to Málaga and Wolf’s ongoing Spanish studies.

Reflecting on the EP, Wolf describes the original song as “a little anthem of empowerment and healing,” initially written for a friend navigating grief and divorce. Influenced by East Kent’s Hooden Horse folklore and shaped by personal milestones in sobriety and language learning, the EP offers a rich, multilingual expansion of his recent work.
