PJ Harvey set to record new album in public

Having been mostly quiet since the release of her Mercury Prize winning album 'Let England Shake' back in 2011, PJ Harvey has announced a new album due to be recorded in a very unusual way.

The new full-length, dubbed 'Recording In Progress', will recorded as a live exhibition, where members of the public can come and watch Harvey, along with bandmates Flood and John Parish, piece the new album together.

Explaining what she plans to do, Harvey said, “I want Recording in Progress to operate as if we’re an exhibition in a gallery. I hope visitors will be able to experience the flow and energy of the recording process.”

The exhibition will be staged at London's Somerset House from the 16th January to the 14th February, with tickets starting at £12 for each segment of the recording process.
