Melbourne singer-songwriter River Holland joins forces with fellow local artist Eadiella for ‘Higher Love’, a beautifully intimate indie-folk duet captured entirely live in the studio.
Recorded in a single take, the track thrives on the natural chemistry between its two performers. Delicate acoustic fingerpicking gradually meets hypnotic strumming, while Holland and Eadiella's vocals weave around one another with an effortless warmth that makes the performance feel wonderfully immediate.
At its heart, ‘Higher Love’ is driven by the yearning for a relationship capable of enduring time. That universal desire is delivered without unnecessary embellishment, allowing the vulnerability of the vocals and organic instrumentation to carry much of the emotional weight.
Known for exploring love, change and self-discovery through deeply personal storytelling, River Holland finds an ideal balance between vintage folk warmth and contemporary indie songwriting here.
