Sam Smith & Ed Sheeran biggest winners at Brit Awards

While this year's Brit Awards can be summed up with Madonna's spectacular tumble in the closing minutes of last night's show, the ceremony did also hand out some awards, with Sam Smith & Ed Sheeran proving to be the big winners of the night.

The pair took home two awards each, with Smith given the Global Success and British Breakthrough awards, while Sheeran managed to bag British Male and the much-coverted British Album accolade.

The rest of the winners only managed to earn themselves one award a piece with Royal Blood, Paloma Faith, One Direction and Mark Ronson repping the British music industry, while Taylor Swift, Pharrell Williams and Foo Fighters took home international awards.
