Savages' Fay Milton and Ayse Hassan announce new project 180db

With so many Savages side-projects on the go at the moment, it can sometimes be hard to keep track. But now the band's rhythm section, Fay Milton and Ayse Hassan, have announced a new guise under the name 180db and have unveiled their debut single.

The new track 'Road Trip' was allegedly formed when Milton met legendary DnB DJ Goldie at a political rally last year. He played her a version of his then-unreleased Skepta collaboration 'Upstart (Road Trip)' and told her he wanted to hear a “raging punk” version of the track. The band have also hired Perfect Pussy vocalist Meredith Graves and Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner to complete the line-up for their first single.

A new studio album from the group is expected in the new year, but for now, check out 'Road Trip' in the player below.
