Sleater-Kinney announce new album 'The Center Won't Hold'

After returning earlier this month to deliver their comeback single 'Hurry On Home', Sleater-Kinney have now announced their plans for a new studio album for later this year.

The new full-length 'The Center Won't Hold' was entirely produced by St. Vincent aka Annie Clark, is being previewed by the new track 'The Future Is Here', and is set to arrive on the 16th August through Mom & Pop Records.

Speaking about their return, the band's Carrie Brownstein said, “We’re always mixing the personal and the political but on this record, despite obviously thinking so much about politics, we were really thinking about the person -- ourselves or versions of ourselves oriterations of depression or loneliness -- in the middle of the chaos.”
