Valerie Chanelle returns with new single 'Forever and Tomorrow'

Valerie Chanelle sounds increasingly comfortable occupying the space between classic soul, contemporary R&B and polished pop, and ‘Forever and Tomorrow’ captures that balance with real ease.

The Swedish-born, LA-based singer-songwriter brings a distinctly cosmopolitan feel to the track, pairing warm, expressive vocals with a groove-led approach that nods to older funk and soul traditions without getting stuck in them. There's a nostalgic quality in the production, but the overall feel remains clean, modern and accessible.

While Valerie’s voice is the obvious focal point. She has the kind of delivery that can sound intimate without losing presence, and that quality gives ‘Forever and Tomorrow’ much of its emotional pull. Rather than overloading the song with unnecessary drama, she allows the melody and phrasing to carry the feeling naturally.

There's also a subtle European character to the track that helps distinguish her from more conventional LA pop-R&B. The songwriting feels sleek, but never anonymous, and there's enough personality in the vocal performance to keep the song grounded.

Smooth, assured and warmly melodic, ‘Forever and Tomorrow’ is the sound of Valerie Chanelle stepping further into her own lane with confidence.
