With their eagerly-awaited new album landing early next month, Cigarettes After Sex have now dropped the next cut to be lifted from their forthcoming full-length.
The new single 'Baby Blue Movie' follows on from the previously shared efforts 'Tejano Blue' and 'Dark Vacay' in previewing their third LP 'X's', which is out on the 12th July via Partisan Records.
Speaking about the new offering, the band's Greg Gonzalez said, "A "blue movie" is a term for a porn movie & so “baby blue movie” is a reference to softcore porn. I heard the title years ago & it felt really striking to me. The story of the song is intentionally meant to be more cryptic storytelling wise than the lyrics I usually write. I like the idea of leaving the listener to decide what this one could be about…"
