With Daughter currently giving themselves a break after the release of their brilliant 2016 album 'Not To Disappear', frontowman Elena Tonra has now announced her plans for her first solo full-length, due out in just a few days!
Going by the name 'Ex:Re', her debut self-titled full-length is being previewed by the new single 'Romance' and is set to be available digitally on the 30th November via 4AD.
Speaking about the new record, Tonra said, “Although the record is written for someone, a lot of the time it’s about the space without that person in it. In every scenario, there’s either the person in memory or the noticeable absence of that person in the present moment. I suppose it is a break-up record, however I do not talk about the relationship at all, and he hardly features in the scenes. He is only felt as a ghostly presence.”
