El-P reveals 'Meow The Jewels' album details

After starting as a joke and then heading onto Kickstarter for funding, the Run The Jewels cat-inspired remix album 'Meow The Jewels' is soon to be upon us.

One half of the rap duo, El-P, took to Twitter to announce some of the details around the new release.

Due for release sometime in September, 'Meow The Jewels' will be made available as a free download as well as having a vinyl release, and all profits will go to charity, or as El-P put it, "#MeowTheJewels is being made strictly to put money in hands of people in need."

He also mentioned that Massive Attack had provided a remix for the record, so now it's looking even more exciting.

You can check out the first track to be lifted from the album, 'Meowrly', and see all the mentioning tweets below.
