IDLES return with new single 'Rabbit Run'

Fresh off a landmark year, UK rock heavyweights IDLES are ending their acclaimed 'TANGK' era with a major new creative venture, scoring and contributing original songs to Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming film Caught Stealing. Set for theatrical release on the 29th August via Sony Pictures, the soundtrack will arrive the same day on Partisan Records.

The collaboration sees IDLES provide four brand-new tracks for the film, in addition to a full score composed in partnership with Rob Simonsen (The Whale, Deadpool, Wolverine). Also included is the band’s bold reinterpretation of 'Police and Thieves', originally written by Junior Marvin and famously covered by The Clash.

Aronofsky, known for visionary films like Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, and The Wrestler, sought out IDLES specifically to shape Caught Stealing’s sonic identity. The partnership blossomed out of a mutual respect, with the director tapping into the band’s visceral energy and politically charged spirit to match the film’s gritty 1990s New York punk backdrop.
