When they released their self-titled debut album back in 2015, I don't think even the band expected the response they received. Released during a time of nostalgic throwback releases in the commercial world, the record became a huge cult hit and cemented them as one of the best new soul bands working today. And after three years away, the group have finally returned with their eagerly-awaited follow-up 'Tearing At The Seams', a record that starts where the last album left off.

From the beginning, 'Tearing At The Seams' is Night Sweats through and through. Toe-tapping, thigh-slapping, foot-stomping fun. Once again channeling the classic influences from the likes of Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye, but adding their own contemporary flavour in the process. But unlike their debut, which featured more moments of pace and energy, the band have opted for a slower, more blues filled direction this time, highlighting their stunning songwriting and delivering another brilliant release in the process.

Fans of the first LP will be more than pleased with this return. It may not have that instant grab factor like before, but is such an easy to listen to record, you'll find yourself coming back to it time and time again.
