Ever since she first emerged, Liverpool's Pixey has earned a reputation for being far more innovative than many circulating on today's pop circuit. Taking influence from the broadest spectrum of British music, including early 90s psychedelia, Britpop, and electronic rave, her sound has this familiar yet distinctive feel to it, giving her the opportunity to create something truly unique to her. And after years of turning out some truly enjoyable anthems, she now looks to cement her legacy to date with her long-awaited debut album 'Million Dollar Baby', a record that heightens those adventurous ambitions throughout.

While still very much akin to the lively commercial sound many others have explored in recent years, 'Million Dollar Baby' has this incredibly inventive and unpredictable feel to it. Keeping the vibes incredibly fresh and glossy with radio-friendly anthems like its riveting title-track, the LP also explores some more tender moments as well, giving it this progressive intention that broadens her musical evolution and delivers some of the more euphoric entries on this year's new music scene.

Pixey's reputation for sprawling innovation is certainly laid bare throughout 'Million Dollar Baby'. Delivering some brilliantly bold and shimmering delights as it plays, it feels as though she is only just cracking the surface to her unbridled potential right now.
