Seafret announce new album 'Fear Of Emotion'

Yorkshire alt-folk duo Seafret are kicking off 2026 with the announcement of their long-awaited fourth studio album 'Fear of Emotion', which is set for release on the 27t March via Nettwerk. The news arrives alongside a brand-new single 'Signal Fire', a sweeping, banjo-led ballad that builds from gentle introspection into a powerful, cathartic crescendo.

'Fear of Emotion' marks the band’s first full-length release since 2020’s 'Most of Us Are Strangers', and sees Seafret pushing their sound into more expansive, cinematic territory while remaining anchored in raw lyricism and heartfelt storytelling.

The new album features a standout list of collaborators, including KT Tunstall (on the already BBC Radio 2 A-listed 'Five More Seconds'), James Morrison ('Driftwood'), and Katie Gregson-MacLeod ('Nobody Sees Us'), with production from longtime partners Steve Robson and Sam Miller.

With over 2 billion global streams and viral success from their breakout hit 'Atlantis', 'Fear of Emotion' promises to be Seafret’s most ambitious and emotionally rich project yet.
