SYML announces new album 'The Day My Father Died'

Following on from the release of his highly-praised 2019 self-titled debut album and follow-up EP 'DIM' last year, SYML has now announced his plans for a new studio album, arriving early next year.

The new full-length 'The Day My Father Died' is described as "a story of interpersonal connection and chosen kinship following the death of his adoptive father in 2021". The new full-length is being previewed by the new Lucius collaboration 'Howling', and is set to be released on the 3rd February via Nettwerk.

Speaking about the new offering, he said, "It's about worshipping your partner, wanting to be saved by their beauty. That idea of being insatiable...we're often told that's a sinful thought, something hedonistic. But you're this hurricane of sexuality and fulfilment—being fulfilled by someone else. I love that storm."
