SYML announces new album 'Nobody Lives Here'

Acclaimed Seattle-based artist and producer SYML is set to release his highly-anticipated third studio album 'Nobody Lives Here', on the 4th April via Fin. Recordings and Nettwerk. This record showcases SYML’s sharpest and most transparent writing yet, reflecting a profound exploration of life’s fleeting contradictions. Written, recorded, and produced entirely by SYML (Brian Fennell), 'Nobody Lives Here' is set to be a cinematic and deeply visceral journey that embraces loss, introspection, and connection.

“If the dark inspires the good, that’s a good thing to be honest about,” SYML explains. “All of these characters inside of me are fascinated by the same thing, which is: Why are humans even here, and what is this ever-expanding universe that we’re floating through?”

The first glimpse into 'Nobody Lives Here' comes with the release of 'Careful', a haunting and introspective track that highlights SYML’s signature falsetto. Hymn-like and soaring, 'Careful' delves into the universal struggle of comparison and self-worth.

“Comparison is inevitable for us as humans,” SYML shares. “I tend to be a competitive person, and that can make comparison dangerous. As I grow, I feel like I have a better perspective on what it is to have a job, be in relationships, and be in my body. Luckily, I am surrounded by people who remind me that while these things help to define me, they are not who I am. ‘Careful’ is a reminder to myself.”
