Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno collaborates with Little Simz on new single 'Favourite'

With his formative group Kasabian undergoing a year-long hiatus, the band's guitarist Serge Pizzorno has been busy working on his new solo project and has now unveiled his first new single.

Working under the name The S.L.P., the new track 'Favourites' sees him team up with the ever-impressive Little Simz, was premiered on Annie Mac's Radio 1 show last night (14th May), and is set to feature on his forthcoming debut album, arriving later this year.

Speaking about his new collaboration, he added, “’Favourites’ is about identity in the digital age. I was interested in how online dating is a sort of snapshot of this identity crisis. Through the speed and structure of the song, I wanted to capture the feeling of the real you inside your head trying to get out and escape during a first date. It’s a dialogue between two people who are coming to terms with their true selves through their digital interaction becoming a physical one.”
