With her eagerly-awaited new album landing in the coming months, Róisín Murphy has now dropped the next cut to be lifted from her forthcoming full-length.
The new single 'You Knew' was produced by DJ Koze, and follows on from the previously shared tracks ‘Fader’, ‘The Universe’, and ‘CooCool’ in previewing her new LP 'Hit Parade', which is out on the 8th September via Ninja Tune.
Speaking about the new offering, she said, “‘You Knew’ is the story of my life. I’m an open book, I put myself on the line and I make my motivations obvious. Many times, I have bravely loved and not been loved in return, and I’m proud of that. That phrase ‘You Knew’ just sums it all up. In fact you could put it on my headstone, except I’ve already decided it’ll say… ‘You Had Your Chance!’.”
