Sufjan Stevens announces five-volume album collection 'Convocations'

After delighting us with his brilliant studio album 'The Ascension' near the end of last year, Sufjan Stevens has now announced his plans to release a whopping five volumes of new material.

The new collection 'Convocations' was written and recorded in tribute to his late father, who passed away two days after the release of his previous full-length. It is being previewed by the new single 'Meditation V', and the first volume 'Meditations' is set to be unveiled this Thursday 8th April.

The other volumes of the 49-track record will be called 'Lamentations', 'Revelations', 'Celebrations', and 'Incantations', and will be shared as a full collection on the 6th May via Asthmatic Kitty.
