Leeds outfit Yard Act have announced their third studio album 'You’re Gonna Need A Little Music', arriving on the 17th July via Island Records, alongside the release of its first single, 'Redeemer'.
Recorded between Leeds and Los Angeles with acclaimed producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen, the album marks a major shift in the band’s creative process. For the first time, the four-piece wrote and recorded together in the same room, stepping away from the fragmented, tour-bus creation style that shaped earlier records 'The Overload' and 'Where’s My Utopia?'.
Lead single 'Redeemer' captures that evolution, expanding the band’s wiry post-punk foundation into something broader and more dynamic while retaining the tension and wit that first defined them.
Following a Mercury Prize nomination for 'The Overload' and a UK Top 5 placing for 'Where’s My Utopia?', Yard Act continue to establish themselves as one of the UK’s most unpredictable and compelling modern bands.
